Snowrunner - tutorial for beginners (quick start guide)
Snowrunner can really torment a person in the beginning and it is not advisable to rush. In this article you will find tips and advice on the very beginning of this simulator on the map Black River - Michigan (Black River - Michigan, USA).
Cover the entire map with a smaller offroad scout car (e.g. the early Chevrolet CK1500)
Make the road passable (repair of bridges, removal of sinkholes, obstacles, etc.)
Start the main mission
With the first vehicles, avoid mud (not always possible) and drive mainly on main roads (even if it is longer)
Get Azov 64131 as soon as possible, see below
When I wanted to fix the downed power line in the first map, I tried very hard to get to the warehouse above, while it was enough to use the concrete panels that are located near the farm on the trailer.
To get XP and some money faster, it is advisable to play races, e.g. the one in the first map on the farm (but first you need to repair the bridge in front of the well)
Overloading - with the help of an on-board crane, it is possible to load more cargo than what is officially declared for the given vehicle and thus you can save some driving time, see images
It is not possible to make a full-fledged road train, i.e. connect several trailers or semi-trailers, but it is possible to connect another truck with a tow truck, etc., which will save a few trips if you need to transfer more pieces of cargo than can fit on one vehicle. It should be taken into account that the speed of movement is lower.
If you don't want to worry about the trucks getting stuck at the beginning, it's better to get Azov 64131 as soon as possible. If I had known this earlier, I would have saved myself many hours of trouble in the field ...

After getting the Azov and Western Star 6900 TwinSteer, completing the tasks is much easier. E.g. the following worked for me when completing tasks in the Island Lake map, which does not have a garage or a pump:
Put both cars in the garage in the Smithville Dam map
Put a service superstructure on Azov 64131
Then fulfill the mission in Island Lake with Azov pulling the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer behind him
Then just park the Azov in Island Lake and use the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer to complete missions.
Then add fuel to the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer and carry out repairs from Azov as needed
So, in the beginning, I liked to use Azov as a service vehicle and Western Star as a laborer for carrying loads.
During one mission in the Black River, I managed to jam a large construction trailer (or whatever it was) in such a way that it couldn't be moved in any direction. Apparently he got stuck on a fallen tree, a tree stump and the edge of an embankment at the same time :-) I spent a lot of time looking for ways to free him and not have to go through the whole mission again.
The tips are:
Disconnect the trailer
Then try to knock him over with a car (it worked)
Move it to a more suitable place when the condition is overturned
Then use the on-board crane to position it so that it can be hitched
And it should be done…

Beginning
The beginning was very long and difficult for me in terms of mixing. The first trucks are really maddeningly inept in the mud. What did I find out? When I wanted to fix the downed power line in the first map, I tried very hard to get to the warehouse above, while it was enough to use the concrete panels that are located near the farm on the trailer.

How to get Azov 64131
Get the map in Russia - Drowned Lands and complete the Tayga vehicle repair quest 6436. Can be done with a smaller vehicle that has a repair building and fuel. Then immediately sell the newly acquired vehicle Tayga 6436, or any other vehicle you have and buy Azov 64131. This vehicle is slow, but it has four-wheel drive and is a pretty significant game changer - Azov can go through almost everything at once. From now on, there is no need to fear mud, stones and steep climbs...The video on how to get Azov can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRp4ADvZsk0.
How to get a Western Star 6900 TwinSteer
On the Island Lake map, complete the task to repair the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer. When you have it, you'll have everything like Azov and eat even more, but it runs much faster and most importantly, it has 4 cargo slots! What next for these cars?
